During the time of Queen Victoria's rule (1837-1901), the Victorian era influenced eight primary architectural styles of many homes in Britain and it's colonies. Victorian architects and home builders decorated freely with features from other eras placed liberally on the home designs.
In America, this architectural style can be found from coast to coast with beautiful historic homes along the northeastern cities of Boston and Philadelphia, the bright and bold homes found in New Orleans and the painted ladies of San Francisco.
