Exterior Renovation in Warm Springs, VA

green panel shutters with fish cutouts in warm springs, vaOur company was started by a homeowner and we are very familiar with ordering shutters from their perspective. So when our customers trust us to make their shutters, we go above and beyond.

Here's the story of our customer Mary and her home renovation.

    The Story

We purchased our farm about 6 years ago, although we had yearned to own it for over twenty-plus years. It was built in the late 1790's as a typical Virginia farmhouse, and over the past 50 years it has operated as a trout hatchery. The house fronts the Jackson River and also has a large spring fed pond full of huge trout. We stock the river as well and my husband hand feeds the fish, he practically knows them by name! We started renovating our home in earnest about a year and a half ago, although architect planning lasted for 5 years.

    The Project

From the beginning of our project we knew that we wanted our house to be extraordinary and restore many of the old features. As we peeled away the layers of the house it became apparent most of it had to be demolished. We kept the log core intact and saved the foot print and the chimneys. It has been carefully rebuilt to look as it used to, many years ago with the addition of authentic, functional shutters with custom trout cut outs for our trout hatchery.

    The Process

We are firm believers that details make a house special, and shutters were no exception. Our Sales Design Consultant went out of his way to work with other members of Timberlane to provide us with exactly what we wanted. Our custom color panel shutters are more beautiful than we could have ever imagined, and our personalized cut out means more than most would understand. We are thrilled that we had the opportunity to express ourselves and our farm through our shutters and Timberlane made that possible.
